24 Days of Gifts: Day 4 (Plush Toys)

Plush toys!

1. Ugly Doll, $19.93
2. Eco Friendly Felt Teddy Bear, $18 (lots of cute things @ this etsy shop!)
4. Rusty the Fox, $40 (love this guy!)
5. Wool Raccoon, $38

Been looking at toys more and more since my nephew had a baby. He's 22, I'm 25, it's a little confusing) but can I take this opportunity to post a totally unnecessary picture of my (*cough*great*cough*) niece?

Nicole by Opi "Play Fair" Swatch

Today I paired "Play Fair" with "Let's Get Star-ted" as a top coat. Both by Nicole by Opi.

Can We Get Some Color?!

If there's anything I hate, it's the dreariness of winter.. Sooo here are a few pieces to brighten up the darkest of days!

1. Mateo Wrap Dress by Diane Von Furstenberg
2. Winter Bouquet Dress by Betsey Johnson
3. Sweater by H&M
4. Betsy Babe Tunic Dress by Betsey Johnson
5. Coral Reef Necklace by Rachel Roy
6. Yellow Leather Swingbacks by Jimmy Choo
7. Floral Print Wallet by Merona

Sephora Holiday "Gift Cards"

Beauty Insiders and VIBs should have received their $20 or $15 gift cards respectively. If you haven't, make sure you keep an eye out for them! They require a $40 minimum purchase and are good until December 13.

This is going to help me out a ton as I just needed to buy new face wash which costs me an arm and a leg.

Here is a really useful link I found that shows how you can maximize your gift card and possibly not spend any money (in the end).

Happy Hauling!

24 Days of Gifts: Day 3 (Books)

I love books. I especially love beautiful books. But these (often oversized) books are heavy, kinda expensive and not really something you pick up for yourself unless you're updating your coffee table display.

Here are some gorgeous books to give or hope to get. With great prices thanks to Amazon!

Review: Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner

The shampoo retails for $18/bottle (8.44oz) and $22/bottle for the conditioner.

I don't think these are worth the price at all; especially the conditioner. The shampoo I finished using but I had to stop using the conditioner after a couple times because it really weighed down my hair to the point that there was absolutely no body what so ever. Nothing like that thin, stringy, no body look but I think I'll pass at the tune of $22 a bottle.

I don't have any complaints about the shampoo exactly but I don't have anything good to say about it either. I didn't feel that it was anything special or any different than comparable drugstore brands.

Rating: 2/5
Availability: Sephora
Would I buy it again? No.

24 Days of Gifts: Day 2

I'm always finding cameras that I want but would never really spend my own money on (because I already have several cameras) but I'd be over overjoyed to get it as a gift.

I put together some holgas that I found--I've always wanted to play around with one but so far I haven't made the purchase. There were more out there than I thought.

I won't be expecting either this year--my family isn't giving gifts. First year ever but we're all pretty broke right now. I'm just happy we'll all be having dinner together. (Plus, I'll definitely get something for my birthday, three days after Christmas, ha ;))

China Glaze "Turned Up Turquoise" vs. Nicole by Opi "Respect the World"

A commenter mentioned how similar Respect the World looked to China Glaze's "Turned Up Turquoise" so I thought I'd do a comparison. RtW is definitely more blue but there's a similarity there that's even more obvious in real life.

Today's LoTD

Recently, I've been having Allen take my daily makeup picture. Today I told him to just keep shooting, "we're bound to get a decent one." I immediately thought of Tyra Banks because when you think of posing, YOU THINK OF HER.

And well this is no Tyra Banks pose but it serves its purpose.

24 Days of Gifts: Day 1 (Personalized Necklaces)

For the month of December, I want to do 24 days of gifts listing one gift per day. These will be an array of different things, if anyone has any great gift ideas for me to consider, please leave a comment or drop me an email!

Without further ado...

... Welcome to day one!

& Happy December! (Only 27 days until my birthday!)

I found these personalized necklaces on Etsy. A few different members make them and they range from $36-79. I think they would all look a lot nicer on a better chain, too. I especially like these personalized gifts for a mother or grandmother; but they work for anyone. The necklace pictured above is for a couple, for example but most of these kind of tend to families. However, it seems to be the case that you can get anything you want printed on these pieces so you don't have to take the name route.
